Program givings and things like that if you want information on that go to m o.org that's modr disaster relief.org and you can get information on that this afternoon we have a funeral for LS caps over at Ali Holman how right down the road here visitations at 1 services at two and we celebrate the life of Lewis caps as you guys know many of you he was a long time member here unfortunately wasn't able to attend over the last several years just due to failing health and age and so we're just so thankful that he knew the Lord and so we are going to celebrate his life tonight the student Ministry they have laser tag out at what is that called No Surrender no surrender a laser tag out no Sage Beach it's five bucks and so if you have a teenager and you want to just go have some fun it's all the laser tagging you can do for two hours for five bucks so that's a pretty good deal and that's today from 5: to 7: out there in o Beach also we have a church business meeting on March 9th this is because the other one got snowed out and so be sure to U plan on being here March 9th for that also there is a save the date for that following week on I guess that's March 16th we do a John 3:16 supper for our Weare families around that time and with us we said you know we really want to integrate Weare and our church because Weare is a Ministry of our church we want to integrate that into more of an intentional Outreach and so instead of doing it in the evenings with families coming in we're actually going to do that on Sunday morning and so we're going to have whole bunch of little kids in here they're going to be reciting John 3 I think maybe 15 16 17 and we're going to have a great service that day and afterwards we're going to have a chilly luncheon after service and so it's going to be a great time you're invited we'd welcome you to stay connect with our families that may
Not have a church home and may not have a relationship with Jesus Christ and so that's on March 16th so there you go I think that's G to do it for announcements today why don't we just take a moment and transition into a time of prayer asking the Lord to bless our service so if you would bow your heads and close your eyes as we go to the Lord in prayer and so father we do thank you so much for this day that you've given to us we thank you for the reminder of the beautiful snow the fact that it always reminds me of the promise that though our sins may be as red as Crimson you will make them white as snow and so Lord we do thank you that we are made pure and holy by the blood of Christ we do ask father that you would speak to us today minister to our hearts and worship and Lord for those maybe that are grieving in our community Lord for Phil and Tony and as they grieve the loss of Tony's Uncle Lewis for the families of those young ladies who passed away and climax Springs Lord in that just absolutely tragic car accident Lord we pray for them we pray for comfort for them Lord we pray for the gardens as Lord they just really have been through it and now Eli is in the hospital with RSV and God it's just it's just such a heavy time for so many and so Lord we pray that we would not cease in praying for our brothers and sisters but that we would seek to come alongside of them and bear one another's burdens and to lift them up and Lord we also want to pray for greater unity and love in our church father that you would just unite our hearts together in the mission and the purpose of the Gospel help us Lord we surrender ourselves to you as we just worship you today help us to worship you with our whole Hearts God in Jesus name amen

Question he always answered them in only the way that God really could was such a Simplicity but also with a Clarity and great profound wisdom and I guess you could say after a day full of questions here comes the question of the day because Jesus's whole Ministry has been to glorify the father and to point to the truth that Jesus Christ is the Messiah the Son of God but remember that for the first 30 years of his life he lived in obscurity in Nazareth and a little bit in Egypt and a little bit in Bethlehem but he was just you know the son of a carpenter Joseph and Mary he was a relative nobody but was the most important person in the entirety of history and yet after his baptism that's when his public Ministry started and from that point on for three years he was proving his divinity through the working of Miracles and demonstrating his authority over all of the entities of this Earth and all the while he was keeping his identity a secret because it wasn't yet time to reveal who he was or who he is back in 1953 Tolkien he released the two towers and people were devastated because where the book ended you had Frodo being captured and taken away by the Orcs And to syung go yes I am a nerd and it was it that's just where the book ended and nobody knew that the story was written that Tolen already had the entirety of The Lord of the Rings already done before he even started to release them and every woman was fretting they were like what if toan dies before we find out what happens to Frodo and if you are a fan of fantasy novels or fiction or anything like that you can probably relate with that what if they die before they finish the story and many folks
Feel the fear that goes along with that but the beauty of the Gospel is that the story is written it's done it's over it's a story that began in creation and God has already told us spoiler alert how it's already going to end we don't have to worry we don't have to have that fear and that uncertainty of what if he dies before the story ends it's just like what God says about himself remember this and stand firm recall it to mind you transgressors remember the former things of old for I am God and there is no other I am God and there is none like me declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done saying my councel shall stand and I will accomplish all my purpose today we are talking about Jesus and how he's just he's much more than just a descendant of David and we're going to learn about the enemies of God and how Jesus has conquered them and how he is Conquering them as well so if you would stand with me in honor of God's word as we read Mark 12 verses 35-37 God's word it says this and as Jesus taught in the temple he said how can the scribes say that the Christ is the son of David David himself in the Holy Spirit declared the Lord said to my Lord sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet David himself calls him Lord so how is he his son in the Great throng heard him gladly and so Lord we do thank you and this passage which is so brief Lord deals with the very important topic of who is the Christ and I pray that as we attend to this that you would speak to our hearts and that each and every single one of us would know not only who you are and not only what you have done but would believe it and that our lives would be different
Because of the truth that you did come that you are the Messiah and that you have paid for our sins and that you do invite us to walk with you and abide with you and in you so help us Lord to understand that today we love you help our hearts to be attentive in Jesus name amen so how can the scribes say that the Christ is the son of David that's the big question Jesus is not arguing the question itself but is questioning the Messiah's identity that's what he's doing the setting of this question is important because it's in the temple not in the temple complex in the temple the epicenter of the Jewish religion probably there towards the inner courts the court of the men where all the great debates and all the great discussions would take place it's like if someone were to come into a Baptist Church and ask us about baptism we better have a good answer for it right because it's important it's what makes us unique the Sanhedrin they should have been able to answer the identity of the Messiah Matthew 222 41 tells us that the audience is the Pharisees these are the guys who ought to know what the Scriptures say you got the influential religious Elites who kind of viewed the Messiah as yes he is The Offspring of David and he would Reign Over Israel in a brand new golden age and yet in Judaism the father is always greater than the son the expectation was that the Messiah would come from David's line because it was a promise from God if we look at the Scriptures it says this in 2 Samuel when your days are fulfilled this is God talking to David when your days are fulfilled and you lie down with your fathers I will raise up your Offspring after you who shall come from your body and I will establish his kingdom he
Shall build a house for my name and I will establish the Throne of his kingdom Forever The Offspring that is Promised literally means a descendant a seed and God he would set up the Messiah to Reign for ever from the lineage of David if we look at the Scriptures here's what it says in Isaiah 11 it says that he would be a shoot from the stump of Jesse it says that he would be a righteous Branch from David it says that there would be one Shepherd my servant David and so it's very clear that Jesus's identity is closely connected with David the king and yet we don't see in any of those descriptions anywhere in the Old Testament the title son of David as a Messianic title until we get to the New Testament when blind bertimus when he was entering in on that triumphal entry he said before then he was still blind at this point but he said Jesus Son of David have mercy on me the crowds at the triumphal entry the crowds that went before Jesus that followed him were shouting Hosanna to the son of David blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord hosanna in the highest this issue is ident of identity is extremely important because Jesus himself asked who do the crowds say that I am who do you say that I am and once again we are dealing with this issue because it's important it helps us to understand who he is what his mission and purpose is yes he is the son of David but is he just the son of David and that's the point that Christ is trying to raise here with the religious leaders because there's many people in our culture it's important for us to deal with today because a lot of folks they want to bring Jesus in his divinity down to a human level right and yes Jesus is fully human and I'll get to that in a little bit right but he is also fully God when we minimize his divinity that's when we can wear the
T-shirts with Jesus as a serer Jesus Jesus is my homeboy kind of stuff right some people they say that he's just a good teacher some people at certain religious groups they'll say that Jesus was created from the father and they believe that to their condemnation it is important to understand in Jesus he agrees with the identity of Jesus being both from the lineage of David and being fully God look at what Paul writes in Romans chapter 1 verses 3-4 he says concerning his son who is descended from David according to the Flesh and was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the spirit of Holiness by his resurrection from the dead Jesus Christ Our Lord Jesus in verse 36 it shows us going back over to Mark chapter 12 he proves that he has a high regard for the Scriptures David himself in the Holy Spirit declared that's what Jesus says he doesn't say that the Psalms are just cultural Pro poetry that it's song or anything like that yes it is but it's not just that he's regarding David's words as the Divine word of God and so when you read the word of God it doesn't matter how many times you read it or how many passages you've read and reread and reread and reread I've been walking with the Lord for 25 years and I've read the Bible cover to cover probably I think about six times and every time I learn more and I learn more and I'll learn more and yeah six is not that great right I understand that I get that it's not boast at all 25 years it should be 25 but it doesn't matter it is God's authoritative word and we always learn something new from it Abraham ker he said that Biblical criticism runs rampant in our culture but more than that Biblical vandalism occurs in our culture it's been launched against it and so let's be students of the word of God together and treat it as such
Because Jesus held God's word in such a high Authority in his life but look at this passage that Jesus quotes here is found in Psalm 110 and I was surprised to learn this but Psalm 110 is the most quoted passage in the entire New Testament it's quoted over 30 33 times references and direct quotations from Psalm 110 and why that one well it would be helpful actually if you could if you got your Bible go over to Psalm 110 because we should we should know what that passage is I can't fully preach Psalm 110 if we did we'd be there for six weeks but a little bit of a summary for you in the book of Exodus God here refers to the nation of Israel as a nation of priests of God so you would think that if he's talking about priests and the priesthood he would probably start with that especially since he's dealing with kind of a coronation of the nation of Israel but instead of looking at the Messiah as a priest of Levi from the tribe of Levi look at what he says in Psalm 110:4 he says the Lord has sworn and will not change his mind you are a priest Forever After the order of melchisedec now that puts the ideas that are contained here in Psalm 110 not in the Exodus account but in the Genesis account you see there's there's a in Genesis we see the king priest being found in one person actually quite often like for example when we look at the story of Adam he was in a lot of ways a king that also served as a priest and Adam he was given dominion over the Earth he's tasked with protecting the garden he has given his wife to all also protect and oversee he called by God to expand the influence of that Kingdom
Over all the face of the Earth he served as a priest before God by fulfilling exactly what it was that God had called him to do after he failed later Noah he came onto the scene he was tasked just like just like Adam was in Genesis 97 to be fruitful and multiply and increase greatly on the earth multiply in it continue to build that Dominion across the face of the Earth in Genesis 8:20 Noah he's also serving as a Priestly figure by offering burnt offerings on an altar and all of that is extremely important because you would think of all of the important figures the next person that we would talk about would be Abraham being like that Priestly kingly figure instead we meet another person and his name is melchisedec who is a type that's a theological term which means a type but here's what it says in Genesis 1418 and melkisedek king of Salem brought out Bread and Wine he was Priest he was Priest of God most high and so we have this priest king that is the subject in Psalm 110 and as we look at Psalm 110 David he writes the Lord that is the personal name for God Yahweh right I am and yet that second Lord there is the word Adon which means master or King David knew that God would raise up one after himself to be his own Lord and Master the Lord Yahweh said to my Lord my king my master and so Yahweh and Adon they typically refer to the same person God and David he isn't saying the Lord said to himself rather he says the Lord said to my Lord my Adon clearly he's thinking of two different people so who is David's adoni who is The Sovereign king of Israel the Jews they would understand that this would be God and so it seems that God he is speaking
To someone with a capital S who carries the title for God and thus Jesus he asked these Scholars what do you think about this what is the Holy Spirit saying here this Lord he would sit at the right hand of Yahweh this means that he is given given power and authority David's Lord would rule not from Jerusalem in a palace like the Jewish Believers thought or Jewish leaders thought but from the very Throne of God and it's exactly what Jesus did in Hebrews chap 1: 3-4 it says that Jesus is the radi Radiance of the glory of God in the exact imprint of his nature and he upholds the universe by the word of his power after making pure ification for sins he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on High having become as much Superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs Jesus is at the right hand of the father and this is where Christ will remain until what does it say until I make your enemies your foot stool this is Victorious language it is domination it reminds me of Joshua Conquering the promised land in 10: 23- 24 and they did so talking about the Kings being brought out from the cave king of Jerusalem the king of Hein the king of garmouth king of Leakes king of eglon and they brought those kings out to Joshua and Joshua summoned all the men of Israel and said to the chiefs of the men of War who had gone to him come here put your feet on the Nets of these Kings and they came near and they put their feet on their nexts necks these these Wicked Kings with their Pagan ideologies were crushed by the marching faithful Army of God's people in this time the conquerors what they would do is they would take their Feats and you know just step down on the back of their necks not to break them or anything but
To show I have conquered you are def defeated foe you cannot do anything to me it was an object of humiliation remember church not all worldviews are the same they're not all equal it's a great place to say Amen by the way there is only one correct worldview and it's one that God says is right don't forget the promise the very first promise of the Messiah found in Genesis 3:15 I will put imity between you and the woman and between your Offspring and her Offspring he shall bruise your head and you shall bruise his heel this is a Doctrine called Christus Victor the work of the Messiah is found in the defeating of Israel's enemies this is why everyone was crying out for deliverance at the triumphal entry they assumed that Rome was the enemy that's the one that needed to be conquered and yet the f of God are Satan sin and death which Jesus Christ defeated through his life death and Resurrection as it says in the Scriptures he disarmed the rulers in authority and put them to open Shame by triumphing over them in him and as Christians we believe that the Gospel is a Gospel of Victory not one of defeat and as we proclaim the word of God it also demands an obedient response the Gospel it transforms individuals which Goes Forth and transforms societies as it goes it is a spiritual birth of a person and it works outwardly from there if God Saves a husband praise God when that whole family comes to know Jesus Christ if God Saves a bunch of men praise God when that Gospel impact transforms the city and when it goes forth from there and it changes the state and a nation praise God the Gospel's power is not found in the letter of the law it's not it's not found in our
Obedience the Gospel's power is found in the working of the Holy Spirit where men and women are transformed by the truth and the power of the Gospel and as a result of that our culture is transformed and we know that this happens we've seen it happen before I've seen it happen in my own life and I pray that I that you seen it in your own if the Gospel hasn't made an impact in your life brother you may not be saved it's also why we would share we should share the word with people share the Gospel people are going to hate it they going to hate it when you share the Gospel because people love darkness and they hate light they love sin and they hate God that's the spiritual default of all people it's what Romans 1 says it's what John 1 says and none of that is up to us we cannot change a heart I can't even heal my sore finger what makes me think that I can help someone else's heart none of that is up to us but what is up to us is loving them and sharing the Gospel with them and the truth of Jesus Jesus's victory over his enemies is stated in many places 1 Corinthians 15 for he must Reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet The Last Enemy to be destroyed is Death Christ He reigns now and he sits at the right hand and the enemies of Christ are being made his foot stol it's happening right now and as Christians go and they share the truth and the power of the Gospel It Goes Forth effectively with all authority it's up to us to share that message though and remember Jesus here he is calling Jesus Lord he's proclaiming him to be such in verse two it says that the
Lord Yahweh he sends forth from Zion your Mighty scepter that's a staff of power and this power comes from God Almighty which shows this composite image of a king exercises his rule from a privileged position of a priest with full access at the right hand of God this verse it says that Jesus he rules in the midst of his enemies it isn't just an imperative it's a prediction of what Christ will do he rules regardless of what his enemies do you may have seen on the news earlier this week that 70 of our brothers and sisters in the Congo were brutally beheaded by Muslims and we would go and we would look at that and we would say I cannot believe that God would allow something like that to happen where where is the power where is the authority where is the Dominion in that case brother we don't know the end of the story we don't see what God has done in the secret places of the heart but I do agree with the Saints of old that the blood of the martyrs is the seed of the Gospel we believe because God has said that his word will prevail and yeah we grieve but they have a greater reward because of it and they now are in the presence of our Savior his enemies they oppose him in Jesus he still Reigns his enemies they try to trap him in his words and yet he defly handles their attacks with ease they attempt to kill him and they do it and then he resurrects himself a few days later he rules and he reigns no matter what so what does David mean by this well Psalm 110 it's a coronation hymn it's a song that they would sing as Judah or Israel inaugurated their kings and by having the song sung it didn't just point to the king's authorities in an Earthly way but it also reminded them that these kings are
Not our hope that we have a better King that is coming by David's own words by the power and the authority of the Holy Spirit he's not just saying that there is a descendant that's going to bring in a golden age of Judaism but that Jesus is the delivered to bring in a golden age of Salvation and Jesus he presses his point even further going back over to Mark chapter 7 David or 12 verse 37 David himself calls him Lord so how is he his son Matthew's Gospel says and no one was able to answer him a word see although Jesus he was able to answer all the questions that the best in the brightest of that time could come up with he was able to stump them with one short question not a word from the nation's best and brightest could be spoken in response to the wisdom of Christ and this leads us to the revealing of the ultimate Authority the crazy thing is that Jesus doesn't really go into an answer he doesn't he doesn't explain what he means here one time I offered a men's Bible study in my home and we were going through a Systematic Theology and there was a man there he was probably about 77 at the time and his name was Billy Kate awesome godly man country guy hard worker he was a Cattleman he was a Rancher okay so he just talk like a Rancher and so some of the questions that came up in the Systematic Theology class he kind of goes well I don't reckon I really thought about that too much I never heard those words before and I kind of have to wonder if that's kind of what the Pharisees thought you know I never really have thought about that question before this is all new to me what does this mean in Psalm 110 Jesus knew he's not doing mental
Acrobatics it's simple direct logic how can the Messiah be both David's son and his Lord if he's just a human see there was this understanding of a davidic Messiah and there was an admission among the leaders of that time that this is a Messianic prophecy yet they didn't have answers and Jesus he is just destroying their preconceived ideas of what they believed his point is that it would take a Divine human to fulfill these requirements that's the point Jesus he is the son of David for sure it's his favorite title for himself as the son of man but it's important to note that he is the Son of God the father's own testimony this you are my beloved Son with you I am well pleased and as Christians we must remain Vigilant because Jesus he wasn't just a man that lived a good life or set a good example nor was he only God he had two Natures this is a foundational Christian principle and it's important Jesus he had two full and complete Natures he's fully human in every respect except that he did not sin and he is fully God in every sense of the word and these Natures are totally opposite of each other and yet they find their unity in one person in his name is Jesus Hebrews chapter 4 it says this since then we have a great high priest who passed through the heavens Jesus the son of God let us hold fast our confession for we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses Jesus he got sick he got hungry he was thirsty he felt alone and abandoned at times he knows what you're going through but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are yet without sin and because of that let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of
Grace that we may receive mercy and find Grace to help in time of need Walt Walter he wrote this he said if Christ is not Divine then lay the book away and Every Blessed Faith resign that has so long been yours and mine through many a trying day forget the place of bended knee and dream no more of Worlds to be if Christ is not Divine go seal again the tomb take down the cross Redemption sign quench all the stars of hope that shine and let us turn and travel on across the night that knows no Dawn Jesus he presses his point in a in a veiled way in order to show and prove his authority and gently show the Jewish leaders that he's not just the Messiah but God himself and this is such an important teaching because it pushes us to believe if Jesus Is God then we can trust what he has said we can believe every single word that he ever breathed he's not just to be admired but also worshiped when Jesus he says come to me all you who are weary and heavy laden I will give you rest we can trust that because he's God and God is always faithful to his promises when he says that all who come to him will not be put to shame we can believe him even when the world tries to shame us when he says that all authority in heaven and on Earth has been given to him we can believe that because he's God and he does have all authority and he's reigning right now until he makes his enemies his foot stool and we can trust him now I love the story of Robin Hood any other Robin Hood fans in there I really do I really love it one of the one of the thing one in one of the tellings Richard the lionart he leaves and he goes and he fights on the Crusades and of course you had King
John that was ruling in that time and he totally mismanages everything and Corruption and Scandals they arise in the nation of England and so Robin Hood he is he is good and he is loyal to his King and so he decides you know what instead of bowing the knee and fall following all these unjust laws that he knows that King Richard would not be okay with he spends his time robbing from the rich and you know giving to the poor and executing Justice along with his merry men the merry men they're known for their Joy but they're also known for loyalty to Robin Hood and to their King and their whole goal is to protect the king's Kingdom until he returns home and my favorite part of the story happens at the end when King Richard he returns but he actually he doesn't return with this big parade or anything he sneaks in as a monk everything's all covered up and on his way through nodding him he actually gets robbed by Robin Hood and he asks him he says why are you doing this and he says because of my allegiance to my king and then he takes off the robes and there it is the crested lion and King Richard The Lion Heart unveils himself in all of his majesty and Robin Hood and the merry men they immediately drop to their knees and they say My Le and in the end Richard he Knights Robin because of his faithfulness even when he cannot see his King you see Israel they couldn't behold it's veiled King it wasn't time for them to see their Messiah it wasn't time for Jesus to be glorified it was happening but I love that story as a metaphor for the church because Jesus is away yes he is in our hearts but he's not right here and yet he is it's a mystery but you see we can't see him and yet he has entrusted to us the Holy Spirit to empower us for Gospel work and because he is our King and
Because he is bringing all enemies under his foot stol it is incumbent to us to share the Gospel and to love the lost and to win people into the kingdom of God you see our King he is Seated on the right hand of God and he expects us to remain loyal to him while the whole world goes after Prince John in time he will return and he will make things right one day all of his enemies will be put under his feet the head of the serpent will spew its venom no more and all things will be made subject to him see we live in a world of already and not yet where Jesus he is at the right hand of God and he rules rules but yet we don't quite see all of Jesus's Authority everywhere but one place that we should see it in the greatest way is in the local church and among Christians do you see his authority being made greater and greater in your life you see David he called Jesus's Adon my master has the Lord mastered you has he mastered you if so you are called to a completely different Kingdom with a new allegiance to your Adonai your master Jesus Christ and Jesus he has that title of Lord and Master whether you give it to him or not Philippians chapter 2 verse5 it says this have this mind among yourselves which is yours in Christ Jesus who though he was in the form of God did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped but emptied himself by taking the form of a servant being born in the likeness of men and being found in human form he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death even death on a cross and therefore God has highly bestowed has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow in heaven and on Earth and under the Earth and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ
Is Lord to the glory of God the father he has every name the Supreme title he is the best it's not the dawn okay it is Jesus Christ and God has reserved for Jesus that greatest name and everyone will recognize him as Lord one day and so what does this mean to for us it means that we are citizens of a Heavenly Kingdom we live under the monarchy of Christianity of the kingdom of God we used to call it Christendom is what it used to be called Christ's Kingdom so we don't have a duly elected president that rules over us as Believers we have a king and his name is Jesus and he is seated right now at the right hand of the father on high in heaven but knowing that Jesus is both the son of David as man and God should help you and I to know that we can come with all of our burdens and all of our struggles to God Jesus he is the priest who knows your weaknesses who knows your sins he knows all your struggle and he does not bring shame to us but he offers forgiveness to us he doesn't give us grief he brings us Grace and it's only by coming to Jesus alone that he can transform us not just at Salvation of being made a new creation but in that process of sanctification where he's making us Holier and Holier through that process of repentance and he promises that he will make us clean you see Jesus he is Lord and He is the Son of God for someone in the Roman Empire that would read this to believe that Jesus's Lord is almost viewed as treason or sedition many Christians died with this profession on their lips that Jesus is Lord and it is the hope of Salvation Jes Peter he preached this at Pentecost being therefore exalted at the right hand of God and having received from Theo father the promise of the Holy Spirit he has poured out this that you
Yourselves are seeing and hearing for David did not Ascend into the heavens but he himself says the Lord said to my Lord sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your foot stol let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ this Jesus whom you crucified you and I we will not suffer probably not suffer martyrdom for our profession of Jesus Christ this sworder but as I said earlier many of our brothers and sisters do and yet it is this profession and the strength that comes from it that results in eternal life Jesus he said for whoever would save his life will lose it but whoever loses his life for my sake in the Gospels will save sa it head heart hand head God he wants you to know that Jesus is not just the son of David he is the Son of God He reigns right now as king he is a Victorious Messiah who sits at the right hand of the father ruling over all creation and we thank the Lord for it heart God wants you to believe that Jesus has all authority in heaven and on Earth he said it his rule is undeniable even by those who reject it he will bring them into submission as well to their condemnation I should put that in there too in hand God he wants you to submit to Jesus's Authority in every area of life okay by obeying his word and trusting in Him as Lord if youall would just bow your heads and close your eyes with me as we respond to the Lord in prayer and in worship so God we do thank you that you have all authority Lord that you are making your enemies your foot stol and God as you have said in your word we don't wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers and rulers of this age God it's it's not a physical political battle we fight it is a spiritual
Battle with spiritual enemies and so Lord Find Us Faithful in the midst of it help us Lord to minister and to reach our friends and our neighbors with the power of the Gospel and help us to do that with great urgency God that you would be pleased and Find Us Faithful we love you Lord and we just are so thankful for the hope the Eternal hope the Everlasting hope that we have in Jesus Christ it's in his name that we pray amen let's all stand and let's worship [Music] together of the cross I cannot comprehend the agonies of calary you the perfect Holy One crush your son drank the b cup reserve for [Music] me has watched away my Jesus thank you the father's completely stisi Jesus thank you once your enemy now seated at your table [Applause] Jesus thank [Music] you your perfect sacrifice I've been brought near your enemy you've made your friend pouring out the riches of your glorious Grace your mercy and your kindness know no end your blood has washed away my sin Jesus thank you the father's WRA completely saisi Jesus thank you want your enemy now seated at your table Jesus thank [Music] you my soul I want to live for [Music] you never up my soul I want to live for
You of my soul I want to live for you your blood has wased away my sin Jesus thank you the father completely satisfied Jesus thank you your eny now seated at your table Jesus thank you want your enemy now seated at your table Jesus there thank you Lord we do thank you and we're so thankful and grateful for the mercy that we have in Christ we ask that you would help us to go forth with confidence from here knowing that there are people in our lives that still don't know you Lord I just pray that we would go and make disciples and share the Gospel with those that are around us father we love you and we thank you for this day in Jesus name
