Sermon

What if you can be near Jesus… celebrate Jesus… and still completely miss Him?
In this Palm Sunday message from Zechariah 9, we look at the prophecy that foretold the coming of Christ and its fulfillment nearly 2,000 years ago. The crowds shouted “Hosanna!” but within days, many would cry out for His crucifixion. How does that happen?
This sermon calls us to look carefully at Jesus, not the version we expect, but the King God has revealed.
-- Jesus is the righteous King—not a moral teacher, but the only One who can bring sinners to God.
-- Jesus brings salvation—not self-improvement, but rescue from sin, death, and judgment.
-- Jesus comes in humility—riding on a donkey, not a war horse.
-- Jesus establishes a different kind of Kingdom—one marked by peace, global reach, and secured by His blood.
-- Jesus will return in victory—not as the suffering servant, but as the conquering King.
This message confronts a dangerous reality:
You can be religious, excited, and even involved and still not truly know Christ.
