Guiding Principle 1- People Matter

We believe the God created everyone.  Therefore, everyone is valued, respected, and loved regardless of what they look like or where they come from.

We hold to this principle biblically as we see in Genesis 1:27 "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them."

Guiding Principle 2- Gospel Focus

Everything that we say, think, and do will be done with the Gospel as our top priority.  Because each person matters we believe that each person needs the truth and power of the Gospel message of Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection!

Romans 1:16 says "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek."

Guiding Principle 3- Generous Giving

We believe that the Church exists to reach out to those who aren't yet a part of it.  So we will take measures to give away as much wealth for ministry for the sake of the poor, the lost, and the hopeless that they may know Jesus Christ.

Matthew 6:19-21 "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Guiding Principle 4- Relevant Ministry

We believe that we must meet the local congregations and the communities needs with love and wisdom in order to rightly serve as the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. This means that we are constantly evaluating community needs, ministry effectiveness, and making adjustments to make disciples in Camdenton.

Ephesians 4:11-13 says "he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,"

Guiding Principle 5- Deep Connections

We believe that Christians are to have their best friends with them at church!  It is up to you to make those connections through Community Groups and by serving regularly in the local church body.

Psalm 133:1 "Behold!  How god and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!"

Guiding Principle 6- Biblical Engagement

God's Word alone is the supreme authority and rule for the Christian.  Therefore we will love it, honor it, study it, learn it, and rightly apply it to our lives.  We will encourage the memorization of it through Core Groups to hide God's Word in our hearts.

Romans 15:4 says this "For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope."

Guiding Principle 7- Passionate Prayer

We believe that God is sovereign and omnipotent.  Therefore we will pray early and often, together and alone, joyfully and with faith.

Romans 8:26-27 tells us "Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God."

Guiding Principle 8- Engaging Worship

We believe that the right worship of God is preeminent in the believer's life.  We believe that worship style and instrumentation varies from generation to generation, culture to culture, and we celebrate the diversity of talent that the Lord has given to our church!

Jesus said in John 4:24 "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

Guiding Principle 9- Reaching Families

We believe in reaching the whole family.  Men are called by God to be the leaders and shepherds of their families.  Therefore we will reach men and equip families with biblical tools and resources for to disciple their children.

1 Corinthians 11:3 "But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband, and the head of Christ is God.

Guiding Principle 10- Intentional Evangelism

We believe that sharing the Gospel is best done in the context of relationships where sin, death, law, hell, Christ, crucifixion, resurrection can all be explained with the lost.

Romans 10:14-15 gives us this charge "How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”

Guiding Principle 11- Replicating Disciples

We believe that the primary goal of the Church is to make disciples who make disciples.

Jesus said in Matthew 28:19-20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you."
